Hunting for the Hottest Shades of the Season With SIX:02

Discovering SIX:02 is one of the reasons I love doing what I do… because I discover some of the best shops out there, ones that make me think what have I been missing? (and then put me in a bit of a shopping whirlwind!).

If you’ve been anywhere near a fashion mag lately, you’ve probably seen stuff about the trendiness of pastels, from light pink to mint green to baby blue. Looking at all of these colors together on SIX:02’s “Pretty in Pastels” page makes you realize why these colors have exploded in popularity: they’re so darn pretty, easy on the eye, and they make every complexion look brighter and more youthful.

So basically, YES to SIX:02, and excuse me while I get “Pretty in Pastels”! Here are a few of the pieces we are obsessing over:

• Running shoes: Whether you pair them with the ultra-trendy pink suit or a floral skirt, these shoes are just boss. Nike’s Roshe One are well under $100, and their color is simply beguiling. Think light, bright, and bold.

• Watercolor-effect tunics and tops: Can’t decide on one pastel version? Perhaps the watercolor effect is the right choice, which will combine fave shades and tick the “trendy” box as well. I quickly fixated on the adidas Originals Ocean Elements Tank Dress and the matching, maybe-even-better leggings.

• Drop-hems in coral: I love a good drop-hem dress, one that makes you feel secure in high wind, dancing, or simply when you’re wearing really high heels. SIX:02 has a great buyer who knows how to perform a quality edit (case-in-point), because this is yet again a piece that tempted me immediately. Take a look! It’s so cool -- perfect with sneakers and a ladylike handbag.

• Originals Stan Smith in pink: Gimme! I have seen these shoes in white everywhere, but this site knows how to take a trend and turn it on its head. Ladylike and yet somehow… purpose-built? That is something I need, NOW.
